German Panther Tank by Tamiya 1:35

 

The Panther first appeared in 1943. It was very fast and maneuverable.This medium tank soon became Germany's main battle tank. The Panther carried a 75mm gun with armour piercing shells. Its sloping side armor provided the needed protection from allied tanks. In 1942 the Panther was put into production to take on the Russian T-34. It had the following specifications: weight 35 tons, speed-60 km/hr, armament -75mm gun, front hull armor 60 mm thick, rear armor 35mm thick and 100mm at the front of the gun turret.

It was a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun based on the Panzer IV tank. Developed in 1944, the vehicle was produced to counter the allied forces superior air power. It was equipped with 2 cm, quad anti-aircraft guns. It had a crew of five: commander, two loaders, driver and radio man.
